MP calls Maliki to compensate affected families by rains in Karbala

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohammed al-Daami, of the Hurra Iraqiya bloc called the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to compensate the affected families by the rains in Karbala province as what was done in Salah il-Din and Diwaniyah provinces.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, Daami said “Some of the families that reside in the poor areas of Karbala province were affected by the rains and we were acquainted with their situation and their damages houses.”

“One of the families lost its only supporter who had five kids due to the collapse of his house, whereas some other families had some injured members,” he added, noting that “Most of those families are poor and have nothing except Allah’s mercy.”

He called “Maliki to include those families in the compensations allocated for the affected families as what was followed in Salah il-Din and Diwaniyah provinces.”
