VP arrives in Lebanon

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi arrived in Beirut on Monday afternoon on a two-day visit to meet senior Lebanese officials, an official source said. “Al-Hashemi paid a visit to Lebanon to meet with President Michel Suleiman and Prime Minister Fouad al-Siniora as well as Parliament’s Speaker Nabih Berri,” the source told IraqiNews.com over the phone. “The visit aims to discuss means of boosting bilateral ties in various domains,” the source added.
