Domination of unique political side behind failure of local governments, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Jawad al-Hasnawi of the Ahrar Bloc supported by the Sadr Trend justified the failure of the local provinces in spending their budgets to being “dominated by unique political side.”

MP Hasnawi stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The Provincial Councils governing the provinces now belong to a certain political side which helped to cover the corruption and absence of punishment by the blocs within these PCs,” noting that “We hold these blocs responsible for not submitting services for the citizens.”

‘The provinces failed in achieving more than 25% of their plans during 2012 due to bad management of the governors of those provinces,” he concluded.
