Mid-Euphrates Provinces of Iraq agree upon erecting Commercial Airport

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Mid-Euphrates provinces (Babel, Karbala and Najaf) agreed upon erecting a Commercial Airport in Babel province.

Babel Deputy Governor, Engineer Ali Abdul Siheil, stated to IraqiNews.com “The airport will be established by EDB French Company with a cost of 2 billion USD,” assuring that “Karbala and Najaf will join Babel in running the mentioned airport.”

“There were extended meetings held among the representatives of the three provinces to discuss the designs and the studies done by the French Company over the future benefits of the airport,” he mentioned.

For his part, the head of Babel Investment Committee, Ala Harba stressed “The airport will have positive incomes to activate the tourism, social and scientific activities in these provinces.”
