New golden cage furnished in Hussein holy shrine

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The new cage of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein in Karbala province will be inaugurated on Tuesday.

The reporter of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) stated that “The administration of the Hussein holy shrine will hold an official ceremony on this occasion on Tuesday with participation of religious figures and officials from Karbala local government and tribal figures as well as media figures.”

The administration of the Hussein Holy Shrine started the process of replacing the cage of Imam Hussein holy shrine with a new cage on last January.

The holy shrine was closed for 40 days until the end of replacing the cage.

It is worth to mention that the new cage has been made in the Iranian Qum City and weighs 12 tons of gold, silver and precious stones in addition to five tons of wood and is ornamented with verses of the holy Quran.

It is considered the first cage of its type.
