Situation in Iraq, close to partition rather than changing regime, says KA MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Adel Abdullah, of the Kurdistani Alliance stated that the situation in Iraq is close to the partition rather than changing the regime where the government, especially the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is convinced that Iraq is about to be divided into three countries.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The change that took place in the Arab countries will not take place in Iraq because the regime in Iraq is elected and the power was peacefully changed.”

“The situation in Iraq is close to partition and the change in Iraq is related to the Iraqis and the essential constituents in Iraq, but it cannot be easily done,” he added, noting that “If the mess takes place in the political process, it will damage it and all the political sides participating in it.”

“The partition depends on the Iraqis and it cannot be done if the political sides adhere to the dialogue,” he added, noting that “Many of the politicians do not know the concept of the federalism and think that it leads to the partition.”
