Deputy premier mulls with Arab diplomat AL role in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Deputy Premier Burham Saleh discussed with Head of Arab League (AL) mission to Iraq Ambassador Hany Khalaf the latest developments in Iraq and the role of the AL in the country. “Saleh received in his office today Ambassador Khalaf, to whom he asserted that the Iraqi government is interested in the role played by the AL to support the progress in Iraq and strengthen political and economic ties with Arab countries,” according to a statement released by Saleh’s office received by IraqiNews.com. For his part, the Arab diplomat asserted the Al support to the political process in Iraq and its keenness to leave no stone unturned to render these efforts a success for maintaining security and stability as well as prosperity to the Iraqi people and the whole region.   SH (P)/SR 1
