Iraq, Egypt sign memorandum of understanding over Iraqis in Egypt

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister if the Immigrants and Immigration, Dendar Doski, signed with his Egyptian Counterpart, Khalid al-Azhari, a memorandum of understanding over the Iraqi immigrants and prisoners in Egypt.

A statement by the Immigration Ministry received by IraqiNews.com, quoted Doski, as saying “The memorandum concentrates on increasing the cooperation between Iraq and Egypt regarding the joint issues and providing a list of the Iraqi immigrants to Egypt by the Egyptian authorities.”

“The memorandum also includes allowing the Iraqi doctors, engineers and businessmen to practice their careers in Egypt according to the Egyptian conditions in addition to dealing with the Iraqi students and patients in the same way used for the Egyptians,” he added.

He pointed out “The two sides agreed upon extending the Residency Permit of the Iraqis and decreasing the taxes in addition to settling the pending issues related to the marriages between the citizens of the two countries.”

“The Egyptian side will show the possibility of transferring the Iraqi prisoners in Egypt to Iraq,” he concluded.
