VP discusses with Fadhila party political developments

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on Tuesday discussed with a delegation of the Fadhila parliamentary bloc the latest political developments, according to a statement of al-Hashemi’s office. “Al-Hashemi received at his office in Baghdad the delegation of the Islamic Fadhila (Virtue) party under its Secretary General Hashem al-Hashemi and the two lawmakers Hassan al-Shemri and Abdul Karim al-Yaaqubi,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com. “The meeting focused on means of ending the current political dilemma and strengthening the parliament’s role as well as the issue of the nominations of the parliament’s speaker post,” it noted.
