Kobler denounces clashes between demonstrators, security forces in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General (SRSG) for Iraq, Mr. Martin Kobler, denounced the clashes took place between the demonstrators and the security forces in Mosul on last Friday.

In a statement received by IraqiNews.com, he called “For self-restrain after these clashes,” urging “To void the deadly power against the demonstrators.”

He also called “To conduct urgent and in dependent investigations over the clashes that led to killing and injuring a number of demonstrators.”

“The Iraqi Authorities must practice high self-control in dealing with the demonstrations and the demonstrators should adhere to peaceful protests,” he added.

“These regretful events prove the dialogue as the best way to reduce the tensions,” he concluded.
