MoD attributes security measures in Anbar to appearance of Qaeda elements

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Defense explained that ”The recent security measures, that were imposed in Ramadi city, were on the background of appearance of several Qaeda elements publicly.”The Ministry of Defense reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday ”Several elements of Qaeda Organization were seen in public and they even talked to media outlets and admitted that they are representatives of Qaeda Organization.””Anbar Operations Command conducted precautionary security measures on the background of Qaeda elements’ appearance to protect the protesters and to prevent any more Qaeda elements from sneaking in to demonstration Square,” the statement added. ”The security forces are still practicing its patriotic performance by providing protection for protesters in Anbar province,” the statement continued. The statement stressed that ”The protesters and the chieftains of Anbar tribes, who confirmed locating elements of Qaeda Organization, should cooperate with the security forces to prevent these terrorist elements from breaching Iraq security.” \
