Maliki, Shalgam discuss developing ties between Iraq & Arab League

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, discussed with the head of the Arab League delegation in Iraq the importance of developing the relations between both sides.

A statement by Maliki’s office cited on Sunday “During receiving the head of the Arab League delegation, the Ambassador Naji Shalgam, Maliki stressed the need to enhance the ties between Iraq and the Arab League as Iraq is a founding member for the Arab League.”

“The Iraqi PM praised the positive role played by the AL mission during its work in Iraq,” the statement added.
