Official assassinated in Anbar

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A member of Heet municipal council was killed during an armed attack to the west of Anbar province.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting, Munan Abdul-Salam, who is a member in the municipal council of Heet district, killing him immediately.”

”The gunmen, who were traveling by a civil vehicle, killed the victim while he was heading towards his job location of western Anbar city,” the source added.

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack while the police transported the dead body of the victim to the morgue and launched an investigation over the crime.”
