SLC aims at monopolizing political decision, says Tayib

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Spokesman of the Kurdistani Alliance, MP Muayad al-Tayib, accused the State of Law Coalition of monopolizing the rule and the political decision in the country. He stated to IraqiNews.com “There is a clear intention for monopolizing the rule and the political decision by the SLC and this is unacceptable in a country of multiple communities that must participate in decision-making.” “Some sides perceive the disputes and the problems facing the political process as a result of the partnership but we see the opposite, is the result of neglecting the partnership,” he added.

“Talking about minority and majority, although this is valid in all democratic regimes, but in these regimes the intended is the political majority and not communal,” he continued.

“When we feel that Kurds are excluded when determining a very important issue related to the wealth of the country and how they are distributed and vote on the budget, this means that the Kurds are outside the political process, ” he assured.

“There are sides who say we cannot rule the country through majority and minority, and this is not true,” he remarked.

“The consultations among the parties of Kurdistan will continue to take a stance and it will be a united stance taken by all key political sides in Kurdistan, because all the forces and representatives of the Kurds in the parliament and government in Baghdad feel that there is prejudice in the basic principles upon which the political process is based,” he stressed.

“The options are many, but we cannot determine any one to be adopted at the current time,” he concluded.
