White bloc calls parliament to hold emergency session to discuss border issue with Kuwait

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc called the parliament to hold an emergency session to discuss the border issue with Kuwait.

The Secretary General of the bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “We hope to settle all the pending issues with Kuwait in order to release Iraq from the Seventh Chapter of the UN’s Charter,” noting that “Releasing Iraq from this Chapter is necessity where Kuwait must help to achieve it.”

He stressed the necessity of “Following the diplomatic means to re-consider the borders with Kuwait and not to disturb the situation between the two countries due to the good development of the mutual relations.”
