Shubar: Hakim, Maliki, Jaafary’s meeting first step to resolve crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Ali Shubar of the Citizen Bloc stressed that “The meeting that gathered the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary on Wednesday is the first step towards resolving the political crisis in Iraq.

Shubar stated to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday “We passed stages that were about to come to standstill but the attempts of the political blocs within the INA, Kurdistani Alliance, and the Iraqiya Slate to hold repeated meetings would be good start to end the crisis.”

Hakim, Maliki and Jaafary held a meeting at the latter’s office on Wednesday, where they discussed the political situation and the issues of the INA, emphasizing on activating the performance of the ministerial commission tasked to consider the demonstrators’ legitimate demands.
