Urgent – .Asian Association lifts ban on Iraqi Football

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The First Deputy of the Iraqi Football Association, Abdul Khaliq Masoud stressed that “The Asian Football Association approved the request of the Iraqi Football Association forwarded to FIFA concerning lifting the ban imposed on the Iraqi Football.”

Masoud told IraqiNews.com on Wednesday “The Asian Association informed us on last Tuesday, that the Iraqi request was submitted to FIFA so as to be studied and take the suitable decision over it.”

“The Asian Association also reassured us about its approval to hold official and no-official matches in Kurdistan Region as first step to fully lift the ban,” he added.
