Allawi, Basra chieftains discuss Iraq’s political situation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqiya Slate, Aiyad Allawi discussed the political situation in Iraq with a number of chieftains and notable figures from Basra province.

A statement by Allawi’s office cited on Thursday “Allawi met with a delegation from Basra chieftains and tribal figures where they exchanged visions about the political situation witnessed by Iraq and the means to resolve the current tensions.”
