Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) The Mayor of Muqdadiya District and the Head of the Orphan Charity Foundation, Mohamed Saed al-Hakim, have survived an assassination attempt when an (RBG) rocket targeted their vehicle to the north of Baquba city.Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Thursday “Unidentified gunmen launched an RBG rocket targeting a vehicle that carries, Kahtan al-Temimi, who is a candidate of the Citizen Coalition, also works as the Mayor of Muqdadiya.””The mayor was accompanied by, Mohamed al-Hakim, who chairs the Orphan charity foundation which belongs to the religious authority, Mohamed Saed al-Hakim ” the source added, pointing out that “The two officials survived the attack unharmed.””The rocket caused huge material damage to the vehicle of the officials,” the source continued.The source pointed out that “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack while the police elements launched an investigation over the attack.” \
