IED explodes in Mosul, wounding taxi driver

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A Taxi driver was wounded due to an explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device to the west of Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Saturday “The IED, which was placed on a highway side, exploded when a police patrol passed in Shefaa area of western Mosul city, the capital of Nineveh province.”

“The explosion resulted in wounding a Taxi driver who was accidentally near the incident area,” the source added.

“The security forces attended at the explosion scene and transported the injured driver to the nearest hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
