VP calls to support integrity commission

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on Tuesday called on all institutions to cooperate with the Commission on Public Integrity (CPI) to curb “administrative and financial corruption,” which he said are a threat to reconstruction and development programs in Iraq, according to a release issued by Hashemi’s office. “I call to activate the role of internal monitoring in ministries and state institutions,” the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency quoted al-Hashemi as saying during his reception of Judge Raheem al-Igaili, the commission’s head.
