IHEC refers Anbar PC request to supreme security committee

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) referred the request of Anbar provincial council related to postponing the elections in the province to the supreme security committee of the IHEC.A source of the commission told IraqiNews.com on Sunday “After the meeting of the Commissioners council, the Commission decided to refer the request, that was submitted by Anbar provincial Council related to postponing the elections in the province, to the supreme security committee to discuss the security situation in the province and accordingly the commission will decide to conduct the elections in Anbar province or not.” The Anbar provincial council demanded “The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) to postpone the elections of the provincial councils in the province for security reasons.” \
