Iraqi Scholars Association condemns assassinating Bouti

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Scholars Association condemned the crime of assassinating the moderate Syrian clergyman Mohammed Saeed Ramdhan al-Bouti and other Syrian worshippers at a suicide bombing that targeted a mosque in the Syrian Capital, Damascus on Thursday evening.

A statement by the ISA, received by IraqiNews.com cited “With great sorrow and grieve we received the news of assassinating the late sheikh al-Bouti along with dozens of innocent civilians last Thursday in Iman Mosque in Damascus by the Takfiri terrorists.”

“We assure that the late sheikh presented Islam in a moderated way to stand against violence and terrorism,” the statement concluded.
