MP warned from plot by Qaeda to attack Governmental institutions, mosques soon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Salam al-Maliki, of the State of Law Coalition warned from a plot by Qaeda Organization to attack a number of Governmental institutions and mosques soon.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “There is information that confirms such plot to target the governmental institutions and the mosques in Baghdad during the next period.”

“Qaeda started to prepare for launching attacks similar to the recent bombings took place in Baghdad to destabilize the situation before the Provincial Councils elections,” he assured.

“Intelligence information refer to camps established by Qaeda in Jurf al-Sakhar area of northern Babel and the desert areas between Samara and Salah-il-Din provinces to train the gunmen and the suicide bombers to launch their operations in Baghdad, exploiting the tensed political situation and the demonstrations,” he continued.

He called to launch precautionary attacks against terrorism and to activate the intelligence efforts more to prevent the attacks.

It is worth mentioning that some bombings took place in Baghdad and some provinces on last Tuesday resulted in killing and injuring 250 civilians.
