Officer killed in Shurqat

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) An officer was killed due to an armed attack to the north of Tikrit city.Security source mentioned to the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Thursday ”Unidentified gunmen attacked an officer with Colonel rank, using machineguns, killing him immediately, in front of his house in Aen Hayawi village within Shurqat district of northern Tikrit city.””The security forces cordoned the incident area off, looking for the attackers while the ambulances transported the dead body of the oficer to the morgue,” the source added.
