Colonel of Anti-Terrorism department wounded in Salah-il-Din

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) An officer from the Anti-Terrorism Department was wounded due to an armed attack to the north of Salah-il-Din province.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Thursday ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire, targeting the Colonel, Mahmud Khalaf, while he was getting out of his workplace, wounding him, in Aen Heawh village within the Left Coast area of northern Salah-il-Din province.”

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack while the police patrols cordoned the incident location off and launched an investigation to figure out the circumstances of the attack.”
