Choosing al-Samaraee as parliament’s speaker postponed – MP

Ninewa-Release BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Lawmaker Rasheed al-Azawi of the Iraqi Accord Front (IAF) on Thursday said that choosing Legislator Ayad al-Samaraee by the parliament to occupy the position of council of representatives’ speaker was postponed until next Saturday, stressing that the post is part of the IAF’s share. “There have been political balances agreed upon since the government was formed in 2006,” al-Azawi said in a release that was posted on the IAF’s Web site. “Al-Samaraee was nominated by the IAF not the Iraqi Islamic Party (IIP),” he added.
