Al-Hashemi in Doha to take part in emergency Arab summit

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi arrived in the Iraqi capital Doha late Thursday to take part in the emergency Arab summit on the situation in the Gaza Strip, according to a source from al-Hashemi’s office. “Al-Hashemi arrived in Doha, leading the Iraqi delegation in the summit, to discuss the situation in the Gaza strip, upon an invitation from Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khaliefa Al-Thani,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani led well-wishers to welcome Iraqi Vice-President Tariq Al-Hashemi and his accompanying delegation upon arrival at Doha International Airport to take part in the emergency Arab summit conference called by the State of Qatar,” the Qatari news agency reported on Thursday.
