Former PM to canvass for INL in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi on Saturday arrived in Basra province to canvass for the Iraqi National List (INL) ahead of the provincial council elections, scheduled to take place late this month. “The motorcade of Allawi, who is also the head of the National Accord Movement, is currently heading to the provincial council building to meet with local officials,” an official from the movement told IraqiNews.com news agency.
