Urgent – IHEC: PCs elections of Nineveh, Anbar postponed for one month

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission announced on Tuesday that the Provincial Councils elections in Nineveh and Anbar provinces were postponed for one month.

The Deputy Minister of Interior who heads the Security Commission responsible for the PCs elections stated in a joint press conference accompanied by IHEC officials “The elections postponed till next May due to the security situation as requested by the security leaders.”
