Colonel killed in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) An officer, with a Colonel rank, was killed due to an armed attack to the east of Tikrit city of Salah-il-Din province.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire from silenced weapons targeting an officer with a Colonel rank, killing him immediately, in Salman Bek area within Tuz Khormato district.” The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack.” “The security forces launched a raid – search operation looking for the attackers while the dead body was transported to the morgue,” the source pointed out.
