Parliament to host Minister of Electricity over situation of power during summer

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Oil and Energy Parlaimentary Committee, Fatima al-Zarkani, announced that the Committee sent a request to host the Minister of Electricity, Abdul Kareem Aftan, to discuss the situation of the electric power during the next summer.

She stated to IraqiNews.com “The Committee met on last Tuesday and discussed some law and issues related to the electric power during the next summer.”

“The Committee discussed supplying all areas in Iraq with power under the escalated hot weather witnessed in Iraq,” she added.

“The Committee is now waiting for specifying a time for hosting the Minister by him,” she concluded.
