Urgent – .Gathering for next local elections nominee attacked in Baqouba

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) A number of persons were killed and injured on Saturday due to suicide bombing that targeted a gathering for a candidate of the next local elections in central Baqouba, capital of Diyala province.

Security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “A suicide bomber detonated his bomb vest targeting a grouping for Muthana al-Jourani, a nominee for the Iraqiya Slate resulted in killing and wounding some of them.”

The source did not mention whether the nominee was killed or not.

“Police force blocked the incident spot in anticipation of another attack while ambulances rushed to transport the injured to a hospital and the dead bodied of the victims to the morgue,” according to the source.
