Tharib assures requesting IHEC to make special voting three days prior to general voting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ziyad Tharib, of the Iraqiya Slate assured requesting the Independent High Electoral Commission to make the special voting three days prior to the general one.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “We wished not to involve the security elements in the elections as what is being followed in many countries such as Jordan and Egypt where the security forces are not allowed to participate in the elections because they will be pressurized to vote for a certain side.”

“The IHEC made the time gap between the special and general voting one week where we requested it to make the special voting three days prior to the general one in order to make sure that the forgery will not happen because the ink will be shown on the fingers of the electors,” he concluded.
