Taye describes call to form political majority government as very serious

Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) MP Yousif al-Taye, member of the parliament Ahrar bloc associated to the Sadr Trend described the decision of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki to form political majority government as serious.

Taye told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The decision to form political majority government is very serious and it is considered to be two-edged sword as it may hurdle the political process and lead to split Iraq through separating the Kurds and the Sunni component which in return will call for federalism.”

“The current government was formed according to the national partnership principle therefore the resolution to establish majority government is a risk and will incur negative consequences,” he stressed.
