Bomb explosion targets mosque eastern Baghdad

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Several worshippers were killed or injured due to a bomb explosion that targeted a mosque eastern Baquba the center of Diyala province on Friday.

“A bomb exploded on Friday noon while the worshippers were departing the mosque after conducting the Friday prayer sermon from Omar Bin Abdul Aziz Mosque in Kanan district of eastern Baquba,” security source reported to IraqiNews.com, noting that “The explosion resulted in killing and injuring ten persons.”

The source added “The police forces cordoned off the explosion site and transported the victims to the hospital for treatment.”
