Irregularities surrounding voting centers monitored in Najaf, says observers

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) Observers of the special voting for the security elements revealed on Saturday irregularities monitored outside the areas surrounding the voting centers where certain groups are promoting for some electoral slates and nominees.

Observer told IraqiNews.com “Irregularities were monitored outside the voting centers represented by groups which promote for some electoral slates and nominees.”

“We appealed to the Independent High Electoral Commission take urgent measures to break up those groups and distance them from the voting centers, however the IHEC officials said that this is not within their duties but it is the duty of the security forces,” he added.

“This situation proves the lack of coordination between the security forces and the IHEC,” the observer concluded.
