Sadr announces forming body to combat corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced forming a body to combat corruption supervised by his special office.

A statement by Sadr’s office reported “This body will be devoted to fight all aspects of religious, ethnic, political, administrative, financial, social, scientific and military corruption where it works on following up the situation of the Sadrist members and employees.”

“The commissioned body has held its first meeting at the special office where the attendees discussed setting mechanism for their action,” the statement added.
