Urgent – 17 IPs killed, injured in southern Tikrit

Salah il-Din (IraqiNews.com) 17 policemen killed and injured due to a car bomb explosion and mortar shells of southern Tikrit.

A security source stated to IraqiNews.com “A car bomb exploded and some mortar shells targeted a check point of the federal police in al-Chelam area of northern Samara city of southern Tikrit.”

“The security forces hurried to the explosion area and transferred the injuries to the nearby hospital and the corpses to the morgue,” the source concluded.
