Car bomb explodes in Khalis

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) A child was killed and ten persons were injured when a car bomb exploded in Khalis district of northern Baquba city.The Mayor of Khalis district, Uday al-Khadran, mentioned to the reporter of IraqiNews.com ”The car bomb, which was parked near Sinaiya area on the highway that links Khalis district to Kirkuk province, exploded and resulted in killing a child and wounding ten persons.””The police patrols imposed security cordon over the explosion area in anticipation of any further car bombs and summoned the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit to defuse it,” the Mayor added. A series of explosions took place in Iraqi provinces that resulted in killing and wounding many innocent citizens.
