Kurdish MP describes using public fund, authority in electoral propaganda as "Crime"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Latif Mustafa, of the Parliamentary Legal Committee stated that using the public fund and the authority for the electoral propaganda is “A crime.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “According to the laws of the Independent High Electoral Commission, using the public fund and the authority is a crime where the IHEC must take the legal action against those who do so after having the required evidences.”

“For questioning those who waste the public fund and use the authority for their electoral propaganda, the complaints must be supported by evidences and the last decision will be for the IHEC,” he added.

“I worked as the head of the IHEC in Sulaimaniyah province and received my complaints, but did not take the suitable actions without evidences,” he concluded.
