Abtan expects ratio of participation in PCs elections in Najaf to exceed 70%

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul al-Hussein Abtan, of Najaf province expected the ratio of the Najaf citizens in the Provincial Councils elections to exceed 70%.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Najaf province and some provinces of the middle of Iraq witness great interest by the security forces to protect the electoral centers where the citizens are also interested in participating in the PCs elections to vote for the persons who will represent them.”

“In Najaf, in particular, there is a great interest by the citizens to participate in the elections where I expect the ratio of participation to exceed 70%,” he concluded.

It is worth mentioning that the population of Najaf province is 1,319,608 Million and 461 candidates are competing to occupy 29 seats where eight of them are specified for women candidates.
