Urgent – ..IHEC announces local elections’ participation ratio

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission announced the ratio of the participation in the provincial elections in 12 provinces.

Head of the Electoral Office within the IHEC, Muqdad al-Sherifi, said “The participation’s ratio in both Rusafa side and Karkh side of Baghdad reached 33% while in Babel, it is up to 54%, in Karbala 54%, Wasit 52%, Salah il-Din 61%, and in Diyala, it is 51%.”

“While the participation percentage of the local elections in Najaf amounted to 53%, Muthanna 59%, Diwaniya 58, Dhi Qar 50%, Maysan 44%, and Basra 42%,” he added.
