Urgent Election center attacked in Diyala

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission IHEC announced damaging some of the election ballots in an election center in Diyala province.The Chairman of Elections Directorate, Muqdad al-Sharifi, stated in a press conference attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Saturday “We have been informed by the office of IHEC in Diyala province over an attack waged by angry voters on an election center in Diyala province.””The angry voters stormed an election center and broke two election boxes because they were angry for the absence of their names from the voters records,” he added.”The IHEC will send an investigation committee to figure out the circumstances of this encroachment by citizens,” he pointed out.”The IHEC will take the suitable resolution if the investigation committee recommended to cancel the votes of the election center,” he concluded. \END\
