Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) The casualties of the armed clashes taking place in Kirkuk province rose of Iraqi Kurdistan to more than 100 deaths and injuries from both security forces and demonstrators.

A security source reported to the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Tuesday “About 30 demonstrators were killed and more than 70 were injured while three army elements were killed and seven others were wounded.”

A joint force comprising the Rapid Response Forces, the special weapons & training unit (SWAT) and the Iraqi Army forces stormed the protest square of Hawija district of southwestern Kirkuk leaving dozens of deaths and injuries from both sides.
