3 Iraqi Police killed, injured in Mosul patrolling oil facilities

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) An officer with 1st Lieutenant rank was killed and two policemen were wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded to the west of Mosul.

Security source told Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The IED, which was placed on a roadside in Kusk area, exploded targeting a police patrol of protecting the Oil facilities forces of western Mosul city.””The explosion of the IED resulted in killing a 1st Lieutenant officer and wounding two policemen of the police patrol,” the source added.

“The ambulances rushed to the explosion scene transporting the dead body to the morgue and the wounded policemen to the nearest hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
