US Embassy supports demining efforts in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The US Embassy renewed its commitment to the demining process in Iraq.The US Embassy reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com. The US Embassy to Iraq hosted a meeting attended by its partners of the non governmental organizations and the international organizations and the meeting discussed the humanitarian efforts to demine Iraq.

“Iraq is considered one of the top countries that contain mines in the worldwide, ” the statement pointed out, stressing that “The USA Government has donated more than USD (250) millions to support the efforts of demining Iraq since 2003.”
