Kurdish MP: Hawija clashes prove Maliki’s danger on Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Latif Mustafa, of the Parlaimentary Legal Committee stated “What happened in Hawija approved that the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is a danger on Iraq,” calling the parliament to “Investigate with him.”

In a press conference, he said “What happened in Hawija is exceeding the red limits by the government where Maliki announced the emergency and this is a constitutional breach and the second breach is deploying the army inside the cities without the approval of the parliament,” noting that “The third breach is using the army for attacking the citizens where the demonstrations are an internal issue and the police can deal with them.”

“Even if the armed groups are involved in the demonstrations, the local police will deal with the situation,” he added.

“Maliki becomes a danger on Iraq and we should investigate him at the parliament otherwise, we will witness unexpected events,” he concluded.
