MP demands to dissolve Iraqi parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Lubna Raheem of the Hurra Iraqiya Coalition demanded to dissolve the parliament for it turned into a dispute arena.

Raheem said “The parliament became a burden on the state budget and waste of time where its advantages are bigger than its advantages.”

“The parliament council turned into an arena for political disputes and platform for agitating the Iraqi street and igniting sectarian strife,” she added.

“As for the legislative and supervisory role of the council, it is the weakest where laws are left without ratification,” Raheem concluded.
