Maliki’s war in Hawija comes due to his Party’s loss in local elections, says MP
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Ali Muhsen al-Timimi of the Ahrar bloc associated to the Sadr Trend confirmed “The army attacks adopted by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, against the protestors of Hawija came after the great loss of the Islamic Dawa Party in the recent local elections in Iraq.”
The independent High Electrical Commission announced on last Thursday 87% of the results of the provincial elections conducted in 12 provinces.
Timimi said “Islamic Dawa Party considerably lost in the local elections but not the State of Law Coalition where Dawa Party did not get the same seats at the provincial councils similar to those seats it gained in the former elections where it faced great loss in Baghdad, Dhi Qar, and Maysan provinces.”
“Maliki’s current psychological state prompts him to do more violent acts in other areas,” he added.
